author of a trilogy of novels: Swung, Distance and Ménage (Jonathan Cape / Vintage) and of the collection The Last Book You Read and Other Stories (Chroma). He has been short-listed for the Le Prince Maurice Literary Award and is the winner of a Royal Television Society Award. His novel Close Your Eyes will be released in 2012. The film adaptation of his novel Swung is being made by Sigma Films.
