«Malvaldi stages a comedy of manners describing a certain kind of Italian province where relationships between people are authentic, where deep moods and passions are tempered by irony and gossiping becomes a kind of public vigilance».
— La Repubblica
«A chemist who writes novels: we love the idea (and it reminds us of the great Primo Levi). It’s as if there were more substance and less beating around the bush in his plots».
— Il Sole 24 Ore
«Malvaldi likes to construct a classic mystery around a simple plot (a bit like Agatha Christie who distracts the reader to hide the rabbit in the hat), at times very comical, at others provocative, but also educational».
— Corriere della Sera
